Hub-centric means the adapter centers on the vehicle hub.
The center bore of the adapter is made to fit around the hub, helping the adapter stay centered before the lug nuts are tightened.

What Does Lug-Centric Mean?
Lug-centric means the adapter or wheel centers using the lug nuts.
The lugs help position and center the wheel as everything is tightened. Lug-centric setups can work, but they require careful installation.
If the adapter or wheel is not centered properly, the vehicle may have vibration.
What Is Wheel-Centric?
Wheel-centric refers to the wheel side of the adapter.
Some adapters can be hub-centric to the vehicle and wheel-centric to the wheel. That means the adapter centers on the vehicle hub, and the wheel centers on the adapter.
This type of setup requires accurate hub bore and wheel center bore measurements.
